A funeral service for Hayden Lee Nichol, 17, of Lone Oak, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 14, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Cook will officiate.
Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jace Jarvis, Austin Nichol, Ethan Adair, Brad Haugen, Chad Arnold and Jonathan Weedman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashton Bain, Kade Bain, Randy Smith, Jereme Smith, Thomas Thode, Ayen Gerber, Ryu Gerber, Jeremy Caviness, Will Rutherford, Steve Shaw and Shannon Nichol.
Hayden died on May 7, 2021, in Dallas. He was born on May 27, 2003, in Greenville, along with twin sister Halle to Steven Lee Nichol and Stacy May Adair. He was a senior at Lone Oak High School where he made a huge impact on all the teachers, coaches and students. He loved animals and had a special connection with dogs. He enjoyed sitting outside and watching the tree leaves blow in the wind, snuggling on the couch and big hugs. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Hayden is survived by his mother, Stacy Rogers and bonus-dad Michael; father, Steve Nichol and bonus-mom Sheila; brothers, Austin Nichol, Ashton Bain, Kade Bain and Jace Jarvis; sisters, Halle Nichol, Karly Bain, Marlee Rogers, Morgan Jarvis and Lyndsey Rutherford; grandparents, Susie Adair, Louis and Laura Adair, Dawayne and Anna Nichol, and Michael and Liz Pohl; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Gerber, Sandy King, Shannon and Jana Nichol, Lindsay and Thomas Thode, Jereme and Danielle Smith, Randy and Alden Smith and Steve and Monica Shaw; cousins, Ethan, Ayen, Ryu, Hannah, Jack, Maddie, Kylie, Tyson, Devin, Eric, Aubrey, Elliott, Isle, Kindall and Landon; and nieces, Jayden and Jenleigh.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Floyd and Betty Adair, Hollis and Eva Goode, Benjamin and Jean Nichol, Louise and Cleo Smirl; and uncle, Josh Gerber.
A visitation will be held from 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, at the funeral home.
