Whataburger, reduced tax rate top Emory City Council meeting

Those who live and travel through Emory will begin to see construction across 22 acres at the intersection of FM 515 and Hwy. 69, according to Emory Development Corporation (EDC) Director Robert Worley. He told the Emory City Council on Tuesday, August 17, at its regular meeting, that the acreage had been sold to a company which plans to build a convenience store, truck stop and Whataburger on the land.
