A memorial service for Richard Houghton, 82, will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m., at the Rose Community Center in Emory.
Mr. Houghton died on May 1, 2024. He was born on July 18, 1941 in Somerville, New Jersey, to Maurice Williams Houghton and Margaret Weigaret.
Mr. Houghton lived in Emory for 36 years. He worked as a contract mechanical engineer. He worked at Lockheed Aircraft, Bell Helicopter, LTV Boeing Aircraft, JPL and the Atomic Energy Commission at Las Vegas, Nevada Area 51.
He is survived by his ex wife, Mary Beth Weigel of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Patricia, Elaine Boyce and Diane Marie Osworth.
