Services for Lee Roy Mercer, 78, of Alba, were held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 23, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home. Bro. Byron George officiated.
Mr. Mercer died on July 20, 2020, in Van. He was born March 27, 1942, to Dick and Ethel Lee Edwards Mercer. He lived most of his life in Wood County and was a farmer.
Mr. Mercer is survived by a son, Jonathan Mercer of Dallas; two daughters, Ethel Mercer of Taneyville, Mo. and Deanna Mercer of Dallas; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ferry Ray Palmer; daughter, Rebecca Shaw; and two sons, Jesse Dewain Mercer and William Lee Mercer.
