Memorial services for Harris “Neal” Norton, 76, of Yantis, were held on July 28, at Seymore Bible Fellowship Church. Pastor Jeremy Durig officiated.
Mr. Norton died on July 18, 2020, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Plano. He was born on July 22, 1943, in Quitman, to Eudell Norton and Eva Williams Norton. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Seymore Bible Fellowship. He married Sonja Hinton Baker on November 17, 1997.
He was a professional driver and drove for UPS for 12 years and later drove for Rodney Miller. He loved the Lord and was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Norton is survived by wife, Sonja Norton of Yantis; sons, Brent Baker of Houston and Robin Baker of San Antonio; daughters, Pam Kiser of Sulphur Springs, Kim Cantua of Brawley, Calif., Lori Fields of Bowie, Kay Glenn of Yantis, and Dawnne Malone of San Antonio; brother, Jim Lassley; sisters, Donna Riley, Karen Lowder, Paula Webb, Misty Martin, Shelley Lassley, Rona Lassley and Tammy Spinelli, 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry Norton.
