A graveside service for Jimmy Mack Taylor, 79, of Emory, was held on October 15, at Emory City Cemetery with Brother Billy Smith officiating.
Mr. Taylor died on October 13, 2024 in Grand Saline. He was born on October 16, 1944, in Greenville, to Ralph Taylor and Mary Frank Taylor (Corely). He married Barbara Coats on November 24, 1965, in Emory, and they spent 58 glorious years together.
He was known for his bigger-than-life personality. He loved hunting, fishing and laughing. He felt most at home at the farm running cattle. He spent 32 years at Central Freight Lines. His greatest accomplishment was his family.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Barbara Taylor; son, Jim Mack Taylor and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Stephen Taylor and wife Ashleigh, Andrew Taylor and wife Emily, Kaley Bryan and husband Seth, John Harris, and Hannah Harris; great-grandchildren, Lily, Liam, Xander, Adalyn, Abygail and Levi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth Taylor.
