A funeral service for George Thomas Plunk, 80, of Mesquite, was held April 11 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Judge Wayne Wolfe officiated.
Interment followed at Emory City Cemetery.
Mr. Plunk died on April 8, 2021, at his home in Mesquite. He was born on August 23, 1940, to Horace Cleo and Evelyn Plunk in Emory.
Mr. Plunk is survived by his wife, Judy Roberson; daughters, Linda Gail Bolin and husband Bill, Sherri Lynn Plunk, and Joanne Vaillancourt; sons, Ricky Allen Plunk, David Lane Plunk and wife Saige, and Jimmy Odum; grandchildren, Dixie and husband Daniel, Reveille and husband Michael, Danielle and husband Jason, Brian, Brandon and wife Catherine, Joshua, Haven, Aubie, Matthan and Solomon; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Flora Etta Hines; and brothers, Sonny Plunk and Sammy Plunk and wife Terri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and other siblings, Patsy McLeroy, Bobby Plunk and Diane Plunk.
