A celebration of life for Christopher Joe Pilkinton, 45, of McKinney, was held on September 15 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral home in Emory. Interment followed in Emory City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Tyler Pilkinton, Mason Crawford, Jason Webb, Bryan Vanhorn, Roy Harpole, Jr., and Billy Pilkinton.
Mr. Pilkinton died on September 12, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 6, 1978, in McKinney.
He was the owner of Born Again Fencing and was a custom fence builder. He was devoted to his faith and had a heart for the Lord. He enjoyed dirt track racing.
Mr. Pilkinton is survived by his mother, Debra Kay Lambert and husband Jarrett; father, Michael Anthony Pilkinton and wife Karen; son, Tyler Pilkinton; daughter, Delaney Pilkinton; stepdaughter, Kayeleigh Lawson, granddaughter, Karsyn Gully; sisters, Crystal Hughes and husband Sean, and Samantha Knight; uncle, Joe Fisher, of Point; nephews, Mason Crawford and Jason Webb; nieces, Morgan Hughes and Brynleigh Knight; and significant other, Lori Pilkinton.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peyton Pilkinton; grandfather, Gerald Fisher, formerly of Emory, and Kenneth Pilkinton; and grandmothers, Treva Fisher and Frances Pilkinton.
