A burial service for Sharon Pendleton, 74, will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Clifton Cemetery in Point. Mrs. Pendleton died on September 14, 2023, in Greenville. She was born on December 25, 1948, in Fort Worth, to Frank Johnston and Jewel Alexander.
Mrs. Pendleton was an accomplished horse trainer and barrel racer. She earned numerous accolades and won many barrel racing competitions. She married James Pendleton on December 22, 1966 and they were together 57 years. She had a career as a bookkeeper and was of the Baptist faith.
