A graveside service for Wolfgang George Doelves, 82, of Yantis, was held on October 1, 2025, at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, with military honors including a rifle salute.
Mr. Doelves died on September 14, 2025, at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. He was born on February 12, 1943, in Berlin, Germany, to Gunther Doelves and Magdalena Anna Marie Bethke Doelves Pulaski. He came from Germany and immediately joined the US Army in 1965. He earned a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and more. He retired due to a permanent disability with an honorable discharge. He married Natalia Cardosa and lived a wonderful life.
He is survived by his wife; children, Leticia Mackey and husband Rick, Lydia Hamm, Natalie Renfroe, Elia Murphy, and John Clark; grandchildren, Gregg Hamm, Jayde Mack, Jessica Darter and husband James, Gary Bewley and wife Janae, Braydin Clark and wife Angela, Amanda Burleson and her husband; siblings, Chuck Pulaski and wife Beverly, Gloria Swain and husband Harold, Chester Pulaski and wife June, Barbara Decarolis and husband Peter, Brigitte Riley, Anna Love and husband Darren, and Anna Sciandra and husband Russell; and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
