Funeral services for Tommie Sue Brumitt, 81, of Emory, were held on November 23, at Believers Baptist Church. Bro. Jason Rolen officiated.
Mrs. Brumitt died on November 20, 2021. She was born on December 19, 1939, in Fort Worth to Tom Fletcher and Sue Smith. She married Lloyd Brumitt Sr., in Dallas on October 22, 1955. She worked as an aircraft electrician with Raytheon and retired after 16 years. She was also a bus driver, butcher, welder, beautiful seamstress, and a wonderful cook. Her passion was her family and especially the babies. During the last years of her life, she attended Believers Baptist Church in Emory. When she was not making cakes to help the firefighters with their annual fundraisers, or working with the Rains County Fair Association, she was cooking for her family.
Mrs. Brumitt is survived by sons, Lloyd “Bubba” Brumitt and wife Vicki, Todd Brumitt and wife Becky and Shane Brumitt and Rodney; daughter, Tammy McAree; grandchildren, Brandi, Cody, Bud, Matt, Justin, Derek, Darren, Brian, Tristen, Daphney, Zariah, Jeremiah and Josie; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Kenneth and Tom Vaught and Jack and Ronnie Fletcher; and sister, Kay Fletcher.
