Syble Daphine Hilton

1941 – 2021

Graveside services for Syble Daphine “Dee” Hilton, 79, of Dallas, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 26, at Smyrna Cemetery.

Mrs. Hilton died on May 21, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1941, to Pat Foreman and Sybil Northcutt Nail (formerly of Emory) in Paso Robles, California.

She was a tireless caregiver for her family, caring for her own parents, her husband’s parents and her husband until her death. She loved canning, knitting, playing Bingo and making the best potato salad ever. She knitted baby blankets and caps and gave them to any expecting mom or newborn she met. She also knitted and donated chemo caps for cancer patients. She was active for years in the VFW Post #6796 Auxiliary. She had a great sense of humor and a laugh that we will all miss.

Mrs. Hilton is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles E Hilton; son, Jimmie L. Cole Sr. of Dallas; daughter, Vanessa “Lyn” (Cole)
McKay and husband Lonnie of Fort Smith, Ark.; step-son, Charles D. Hilton of Dallas; step-daughter, Tonya R. (Hilton) Simmons of Overland Park, Kan.; grandchildren, Jimmie L. Cole Jr., Jaime R. (Cole) Belcher, Rachel L. (McKay) Stills, Caitlin E. (McKay) Williams, Cory Hilton, Brandy (Hilton) Borbon, Rob Hilton, Angie Hilton and Emma Simmons; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alec and Panthea Northcutt; her parents; step-son, Robert L. Hilton; and great-grandson, Liam Hilton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.wilsonorwoskyfuneralhome.com.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 25, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
