A Funeral Mass for Susie L. Asbill, 76, of Emory, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 7, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Emory. Father Victor Hernandez will officiate. A Rosary will be said at the church on Tuesday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Asbill died peacefully on June 30, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on March 22, 1945, to Jerome M. Veit and Mary Frances Broyles in Killeen. She married Alton Curtis Asbill Jr. on December 30, 1966, in Killeen. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mrs. Asbill is survived by her husband; son, John Houston Asbill and wife Jas; daughter, Tracy Louise Clark and husband Thomas; grandchildren, John Christian Asbill and wife Theo, Michael Curtis Asbill and Zachary Reneau Asbill; great-grandchild, Ada; brother, Jackson F. Veit; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean Harden, Mildred Clapp and Louise Bohinski; and brother, Lee Byron Veit.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
