Russell Lee Edwards

1959 – 2025

Russell Lee Edwards, 66, of Emory, died on December 4, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1959, in Dallas, to Robert Lee Edwards and Mildred Janis Fagala Edwards.

Mr. Edwards’ life was marked by a deep passion for his career as an auto-body painter, a profession he dedicated thirty years to showcasing his exceptional skill and artistry. He loved historical cars, particularly those from the 1970s and 80s, and appreciated the craftsmanship that went into them.

He embraced his role as a “girl dad” with pride and nurtured a loving and caring atmosphere around his daughters, always celebrating their accomplishments and being a steadfast supporter in their lives. His kindness was well-known, and he had the ability to make anyone feel welcome. He played the guitar, sharing melodies that resonated with the warmth of his spirit.

He was married to Caron Edwards for thirty-two wonderful years. They created a family rich with love and lasting memories.

He is survived by his wife; children, Amanda Tipton and husband Johnathan, Allison Hobgood and husband Jason, and Tate Gallup and David; grandchildren, Maggie McGee, Brandon Hobgood, August Gallup, Michael Tipton, Michell Tipton, Alex Gallup and Max Gallup; siblings, Gary Edwards and Janet Barnett; life-long best friend, Trey Pearson; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
