A memorial service for Robert Morris, 91, of Emory, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Morris died on December 9, 2020, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. He was born on January 4, 1929, in Rives, Tenn., to Charles Raith Morris and Martha Campbell Morris. He married Barbara Cash in Searcy, Ark., on September 10, 1950. After he retired as a missionary in Germany and a minister for the church of Christ, he sang professionally at several Italian restaurants in Albuquerque, N.M.
Mr. Morris is survived by his sons, David Morris and Paul Morris; daughter, Martha Morris; grandchildren, Talon Morris, Kelly Parks, Jacob Morris and Seth Morris; and great-grandchildren, Tekla Morris, Noah Parks and Sean Parks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 1999; son, Philip Morris; sister, Eula Voigts; and cousin, Sandy Chase.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
