Bob Stephenson, 82, of Yantis, died peacefully on March 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 21, 1943.
Mr. Stephenson was a longtime member of Lake Fork Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a Youth Minister and later as Director of Missions until his retirement. His life’s work reflected his deep faith and commitment to serving others, both in his local community and abroad. He loved the people of Arusha and Digo Digo, Africa, deeply, and they held a very special place in his life. His life touched many, and his legacy of faith and family will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Stephenson is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Sandy Stephenson; sister, Geri (Ted) Spacek; sister-in-law, Kathy (Ken); children, Rick (Renae), Rusty (Cheryl), Randy (Laura), April, Tony (Melanie), Renee (Joe), and Justin (Misty); 25 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Stephenson Sr., and mother, Martha Blanche Stephenson.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends.
