A memorial service for Becky Hand Dennis, 78, will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Fork Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dennis died on November 2, 2022 at her home in Emory. She was born on August 5, 1944, to Clarence C Hand and Mary Katherine Hand in Terrell.
She married Lawson Eugene Dennis on September 8, 1962, and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She became an R.N. and retired in 2012 to enjoy life with Gene at their home on Lake Fork. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with their family. She loved to crappie fish, play Bingo and the slot machines and cruising. She was lucky to have long lasting friendships and enjoyed her time with them after retirement. The memories of “Granny” will keep her memory alive for generations to come.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years; three sons, David and wife Debbie of Mesquite, Greg and wife Judy of Denton, and Steve and wife Cheryl of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Amber Dennis, Crell Dennis, Lisa Higginbotham, Lance Dennis, Tyler Dennis, Riley Ilaoa and Paisley Dennis; and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Parker and husband Bobby of Wills Point; and sister-in-law, Teresa (Sissy) of Graham; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl Edward Hand; niece, Lisa; and nephew Mark.
