Funeral services for Raymond Glen Davis, 83, of Grand Saline, will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Bartley Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Smith and Wesley Allen will officiate.
Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Denton, Jimmy Thompson, James Davis, Kevin Kimmel, Gary Huff and Charles Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Davis, Jacob Davis, Steve Splawn, the Men of Corinth Baptist Church and Ray Rodden.
Mr. Davis died on October 24, 2022, in Tyler. He was born on January 2, 1939, in Grand Saline, to Jimmie Melvin and Ruth Tunnell Davis. He spent most of his life in Grand Saline where he was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church and attended Corinth Baptist Church for many years. He was a carpenter.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Rodden Davis; sons, Danny Davis of Emory, Greg Davis and wife Alynda of Edgewood, and Billy Davis and wife Elysia of Georgetown; brothers, Melvin Davis and wife Janell of Canton, and Tommy Davis and wife Betty of Grand Saline; sisters, Billie Mayne of Tunnell Hill, Georgia, and Sue Kimmel of Canton; five grandchildren, Bryce Davis, Jacob Davis, Danielle Denney, Parker Davis and Riley Davis; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jimmy Clyde Davis.
Memorials may be made to Corinth Cemetery or Corinth Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
