Ray Turner

1955-2026

It is with profound love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ray Turner, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 70.

A man of quiet strength and genuine kindness, Ray was known for his warm wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering support of those he loved. His presence was steady, and his heart was generous. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the values he instilled will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ray leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Evelyn Turner; daughter, Deanita McCall (Dwoski); sons, Raymond (Marcela) and Cedric (Megan); grandchildren, Caleb, Seth, Sophia, Berkleigh, and Quinn; two sisters, Maud Hay (Ronald) and Nelder Stewart (Bobby); three brothers, James (Demetra), Arvin Glenn, and Kenneth; one aunt, Addine Thomas; one uncle, Wilbur Clark; three sisters-in-law, Deborah Green (Leroy), Janice Henley (Lester), and Sharon Ayer’s (James); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Oliver Turner and Lillian Ruth Clark Turner; two brothers, Nelson and Alvin; and one sister, Sharlene.

A Celebration of Life honoring Ray Turner will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Richland Baptist Church.
