A memorial service for Rachel Childers Brown, 83, of Emory, will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m., at Clark’s Chapel Church of God, located at 6345 FM 47, Point.
Mrs. Brown died peacefully on February 13, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1941, in Alba, to Benny and Ruby Faye Childers. She married Gary Brown in 1964 and was the mother to Terry Brown and Pamela Brown Stout.
She enjoyed a career with Texas Instruments and later Texas Optoelectronics before her retirement.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Pamela Stout and husband Eric; sisters, Patricia Buck and husband Danny, and Debbie Elliot; brother, Ronnie Childers and wife Pam; grandchildren, Heather Friddle and Christopher Stout; great-grandchildren Rio Becerra, Canyon Friddle and Sierra Friddle; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Brown; ex-husband, Gary Brown; and brothers, Billy Childers and Johnny Childers.
