Larry Wayne O’Neal

1949 – 2025

A memorial service for Larry Wayne O’Neal, 75, will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m., at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Mr. O’Neal died while surrounded by his family on February 8, 2025 after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on February 15, 1949, in Oakdale, Louisiana, to Odis Roston and Burna Dean O’Neal. He was a devoted family man, an integral part of his community, and spent a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. He loved being a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. The most important decision that he ever made was to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord.

Mr. O’Neal drove an 18-wheeler for UPS for 46 years. He traveled five million eight hundred thousand miles accident free. Before establishing his career, he served in the United States Air Force for four years.

He married Carolyn on June, 26, 1971, and they were married for 53 years. He was so proud of their two children and was head over heels in love with his four grandchildren.

He found joy being in the outdoors, fishing and hunting, but he really loved being in the woods, on the lake or in the back yard.

Mr. O’Neal is survived by his wife; son, Adam Ryan O’Neal and wife Jana; grandchildren, Eleanor Balderson, Axel Balderson, Blake O’Neal and Molly O’Neal; siblings, James O’Neal and wife Kathy, Marlene Tucker, and Carla Wyatt and husband David; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tiphanie O’Neal Balderson; and brother, Fred O’Neal.
