Funeral services for Kenneth Dale “KD” Bryant, 87, of Emory, were held on March 27, at Lake Fork Baptist Church. Interment followed at Elm Cemetery. Services concluded with a celebration of life at the fishing camp per KD’s wishes.
Mr. Bryant died on March 23, 2023. He was born in Fox, Oklahoma, on September 9, 1935, to Clyde Pembrooke Bryant Sr. and Leah Irene Berry. He retired as Vice President of Drilling Operations for Penrod Drilling Company and began his dream of running Bryant’s Fishing on Lake Fork. He had a caring spirit and sponsored groups such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the Boy Scouts of America at his fishing camps. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason.
Mr. Bryant is survived by daughters, Virginia Broussard and Cynthia Boyer and husband Irvin; sons, Dale Bryant and wife Rebecca, and Kenneth Bryant and wife Nhi; sister, Linda Ann Smith; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and close companion, Peggy Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde Jr.; and sisters, Mona Temple and Marvalene Underwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project and Lake Fork Baptist Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
