A graveside service for Joyce Elaine McAree, 76, was held on February 6 at Colony Cemetery in Emory.
Mrs. McAree died peacefully at her home in Emory on February 5, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on January 12, 1945, in Dallas, to Clarence and Estelle Still Davis. She was married to James Stanley McAree for 53 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and being the best MeMe to her grandchildren.
Mrs. McAree is survived by her husband; sons, Clint McAree and wife Barbara, Brett McAree and wife Melissa; daughter, Mandy O’Donnell and husband Pat; grandchildren, John McAree and wife Misty, Shay McAree, Rylan Lester, and Rhett Lester; and great-granddaughter, Madilynn McAree.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Louie Don, Von, Clarence, Sonny and Michael.
