A celebration of life for Jonathan Theodore Johnson, 87, will be held on Saturday, June 7, from 7:00-9:00 a.m., at Sidekick’s Bar and Grill.
Mr. Johnson died on May 18, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1938, to John S. Johnson and Gudlaug Sigurveig “Veiga” Kristjansdottir Johnson.
He moved to Rains County in 1985. He dedicated his life to the art of carpentry, building homes for families and leaving a mark on the community until the age of 85. He spoke fluent Icelandic.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Shelly Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, and Michael Johnson and wife Addy; grandchildren, Theron, Tanner, Kiefer, Kayla, Bailey, Kody, and Bradley and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Keith Johnson and Sidney Johnson; sister, Edith Mathews; and great-grandson, Edison.
