Johnnie Taylor, 83, died on October 28, 2025, at his home in Emory. He was born on September 11, 1942, to Lewis and Wanda Taylor (Reed) in McKinney.
Mr. Taylor married the love of his life, Brenda, on June 5, 1992, and they shared a beautiful 33 years of marriage and 45 years as partners in life.
A dedicated professional, he spent 35 years at Love Field, where he worked as a machinist and inspector.
Mr. Taylor loved fishing and spent many hours working in his garden and mowing his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Amanda Lally and husband Michael; sons, Timothy Taylor and wife Laura, Randy Dinsmore, Raymond Parker and wife Misti; grandchildren, Caroline Taylor, Julia Taylor, Nicholas Dinsmore, Joseph Dinsmore and Miranda Parker; great-grandchild, Loelie Dinsmore; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jackie Taylor and wife Faye, and Janice Allen.
Donations may be may in Mr. Taylor’s honor to the Lymphoma Cancer Research Foundation or plant a tree in his honor.
