A memorial service for John Gordon Adair, 74, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Adair died peacefully on October 19, 2021, after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 16, 1947, in Lagos, Nigeria, to J.B. and Desser Adair, who were serving in Africa as Baptist Missionaries at the time. He returned with his parents and brother, James Kenneth (Ken), on April 19, 1948. He grew up in and around Waco, graduating from Waco High School in 1965. He taught at various schools, ending up at Lone Oak ISD.
Mr. Adair was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ken, in 2014.
