A graveside service for John Franklin Littlejohn Sr., 89, was held on January 12 at Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale.
Mr. Littlejohn died on January 6, 2021, in Garland. He was born on September 30, 1931, in Emory, to Martin and Julie Littlejohn. He was the oldest of five children. John served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged in 1954. He founded Littlejohn’s Upholstery in 1963 and served hundreds of customers in the Metroplex before his retirement in 2007. As a member of the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce, John served during numerous community events. John was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
Mr. Littlejohn is survived by his daughter, Debbie Bailey and husband Mike; son, Johnny Littlejohn and wife Alicia; step-daughter, Connie Miley and husband Larry; step-son, Mark Bean and wife Melissa; granddaughters, Sabrina Smith and husband David and Valerie Bailey and husband Stephen; step-granddaughter, Kristen Cox and husband Collin; step-grandson, Cameron Miley; great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Parker and Maddie; step-great-grandson, Connor; sister, Mary Lambright; brothers, Robert Littlejohn and wife Delores and James Littlejohn and wife Pansy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavonne; step-son, Chris Bean; brother, Richard; and his parents.
