Jerry Wayne McDonald, 85, died on May 25, 2025, just days shy of his 86th birthday. He was born on May 28, 1939, to Floyd and Roewena McDonald (Blakey) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Mr. McDonald had been a member of the Lake Fork Baptist Church since 1997. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and owned McDonald Electric and Lake Fork Guide Service. He loved his rodeo days, Colorado hunting trips, and golfing. He had clients from as far away as Japan. He could always be found cheering on his children’s and grandchildren’s endeavors and supporting youth programs.
He and his wife, Annette Sue McDonald, married at just 16 years of age, and shared 69 beautiful years together.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife; children, Cheryl and Bill Lowry, and Kelley Burris; grandchildren, Keith Blue and wife Kimberly, Randall Burris, Lee Burris, and Lindsey Hemphill and husband Deuce; great-grandchildren, Gage Blue, Dane Suits, Knox Suits, Piercen Burris, Oaklee Burris, and Keller Burris; and brother, Pat McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons; and two brothers.
