Jerry Scott Adair

1964 – 2026

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Scott Adair, 61, of Alba, were held on March 3, 2026, at Lake Fork Baptist Church, with Pastor Zach Tunnell officiating.

Interment followed in Salem Cemetery, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Serving as pallbearers were Cameron Adair, Mason Adair, Tod Byrd, and Brian Adair.

Mr. Adair died on February 27, 2026, in McKinney. He was born on March 25, 1964, in Mesquite, to Jerry Don and JoAnn Pope Adair.

He lived in Alba most of his life and graduated from Alba-Golden High School in 1982. He worked as a truck driver for many years, most notably with JB Hunt.

He cherished the Alba community and especially enjoyed visiting around town, striking up conversations, and sharing laughs with friends and neighbors. His great sense of humor and positive spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He loved working out and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, firearms, and shooting. He loved his family deeply. He worked hard throughout his life and took great pride in providing for and spending time with those he loved.

Mr. Adair is survived by his mother, JoAnn Pope Adair of Alba; two sons, Cameron Wayne Adair (Sara Meng) of McKinney, and Mason Scott Adair (Victoria Rodriguez) of McKinney; brother, Brian Adair (Kim) of Quitman; sister, Susan Byrd (Tod) of Emory; grandchild, Jaxon Adair; the mother of his children, Sandra Fylling of McKinney; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Don Adair (2007).
