Jerry Don Cason

1945 – 2026

Funeral services for Jerry Don Cason, 81, will be held on Thursday, July 30, at 11:30 a.m., at Clarks Chapel Church of God. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Mr. Cason died on July 27, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1945, in Point, to Claude Cason and Lota Rabe Cason.

He was the second youngest of ten siblings. He joined the Army and traveled across the world to Japan. When he returned, he rooted himself in his community, where he established a plumbing and back hoe business.

He delighted in the simple pleasures of the roar of motorcycles, the clatter of dominoes in a friendly match, and especially the fierce excitement of a game of 42, where he earned the reputation of a true shark.

His proudest accomplishments were his family and the generations that blossomed under his care. He celebrated his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as treasures beyond measure, and his love for his son was a testament to the enduring circle of family. He attended Clarks Chapel Church of God.

Mr. Cason is survived by his children, Carla Cason, and Jerry Don Cason Jr; grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Joey Mullins Jr., and Tristin Haney; great-grandchildren, Aliviah Prator   and Allaya Davis; siblings, Kenneth and Paul; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Preston, Christine, Maureen, Bobby Lee, Joe Ben, Linda Kay and Margaret Ann.
