Jack Lewis Stone, 85, of Emory, died peacefully at home on October 4, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 26, 1937, to John Fred and Susie Mae Morris Stone in San Antonio.
Mr. Stone married the love of his life, Helen Hatley, on February 17, 1956, in Hugo, Okla. They made their home in Emory where they raised their children. He spent his life in the trucking business either driving trucks or working on them. He was a respected member of the trucking industry, retiring from driving at the age of 75. He continued to give direction and advice to other drivers even after he became ill.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife of 66 years; brothers, Jimmie and Johnnie and wife, Jan; brother-in-law, Pat Hatley; son, Wesley Stone and Tammy; daughter, Carol Scott and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Tim, April, Kandi, David, Sasha, Jason, Billy Jack, Christine, Presley and Lexie; great-grandchildren, DJ, Alex, Victoria, Jordyn, Kordell, Katelynn, AJ, Elizabeth, Micah, Kagen, Haiden, Dallas, Eli, Hatley, Bryan, Cooper and Harper; great-great-grandchildren, Arthur and soon to be born Cooper and Adilyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends that they considered family, Amanda and Tara.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter in law, Debbie Stone.
