Funeral services for Gloria Madelyne (Nation) Alderman, 65, of Chandler, were held on December 10 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Frankie McDaniel officiated.
Interment followed in Chandler Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Alderman, James Busby, Michael “Bubba” Feagin Sr., Shawn Fuller, Jimmy Alderman and Jeff Barnes.
Mrs. Alderman died on December 7, 2020, in Tyler. She was born on November 15, 1955, in Point, to Willie Winfred Nation and Mary Madelyn (Daugherty) Nation. She was a dedicated member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church and also volunteered at God’s Open Hands in Chandler. She was a talented cook, enjoyed crocheting and loved plants. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who always put others first.
Mrs. Alderman is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom Alderman of Chandler; sons, Willie Alderman and Jeff Alderman, both of Chandler; siblings, Ricky Nation and wife Kim of Chandler, Michael Nation and wife Kathy of Idaho; and grandchildren, Kaily Alderman, Brooke Alderman and Gaige Alderman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
