Members of the East Tawakoni Volunteer Fire Department salute in the direction of New York City to honor first responders who died during the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. The firefighters came to attention next to Highway 276 in East Tawakoni and saluted at 7:46 a.m., the moment that the first airplane struck the World Trade Center 19 years ago.
