Funeral services for Etta Duene O’Neal Anders, 77, of Alba, were held on June 3, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Travis Anders, Phillip Lewers, Timothy Anders, Jered Taylor, Richard Anders, and Bobby Anders. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Louis Lewers .
Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Anders died on May 29, 2026, in Tyler. She was born on August 4, 1948, in Sulphur Springs, to Homer Lee and Flora Alendar Ragsdale O’Neal. She spent her entire life in the Alba area and was a member of Gunter Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Anders is survived by her daughters, Joetta Anders of Alba, and Malisa Thompson and husband Bradley of Alba; sister, Darline Reid of Alba; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, C.L. Anders; and her youngest grandson, Louis Lewers.
