Graveside services for Emmie Grisham, 89, of Alba, will be held on Thursday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m., at Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery in Golden. Chaplain Robert Stovall will officiate, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Grisham died on January 20, 2023, in Tyler. She was born on March 15, 1933, in Golden, to Joe and Effie Wilson Lutonsky. She lived all her life in the Alba-Golden area and was a member of Pilgrim Rest #2 Baptist Church. She married Jack “Sam” Grisham on March 15, 1951, in Alba. She worked as a sewing factory supervisor. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles, playing solitaire and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Jackie Grisham; two daughters, Shirley Holte and Cynthia Gore, all of Alba; brother, Walter Lutonsky of Quitman; sister, Marie Galyean of Mineola; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years; brother, Daniel Lutonsky; two sons-in-law, Larry Holte and J.C. Gore; and an infant grandbaby.
