Funeral services for Dorothy Stovall, 100, of Point, will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Lone Star Cemetery.
Mrs. Stovall was born January 7, 1923, to John and Della Hunter in the Odom community of Van Zandt County. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She married Samuel Jackson Edwards (S.J.) and enjoyed a wonderful marriage until his passing. She married William Stovall Sr. in 1961 and they were members of First Baptist Church of Point. She enjoyed the ladies Sunday School class every Sunday.
Mrs. Stovall is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Smith and Brenda Kay Massey; sons, Sam Edwards Jr. and wife Suzanne, and Billy Stovall Jr., and wife Roxann; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands; and siblings.
Memorials may be made to any Parkinson’s foundation of your choice in Mrs. Stovall’s name.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held 15 minutes prior to the graveside service.
