Billy Bob Cheek, 96, died on November 27, 2021, in Greenville. He was born on August 9, 1925, in Alba, to Clyde Cheek and Ora Cheek. He was a retired store manager for Safeway Food Store, where he managed stores in Dallas and Greenville. He served in the Pacific Theater with the US Navy during WWII. He was a Mason and also a deacon in the Presbyterian Church in Garland.
Mr. Cheek is survived by his wife, Norma Johnson Cheek of Greenville; sons, John Robert Cheek of Greenville, and Michael James Cheek and Debbie Counts of Greenville; grandchildren, Mandy Gale Kinsey of Wylie, and Misty Lynn Cheek of Rockwall; great-grandchildren, Lola Kinsey, Miles Kinsey and Jackson Cowell; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Murell Cheek; and brothers, Dilliard Cheek and Brevard Cheek.
