A celebration of life for Jerry Pierce, 79, of Emory, will be held on Saturday,May 4, 2024, at The Wildflower in Emory, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Pierce died on April 16, 2024, in Sulphur Springs. He was born on March 2, 1945, to Jesse Pierce and Ruth (Miller) Pierce in Waldo, Arkansas.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time out on the water in his boat. He loved the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks. He enjoyed visiting casinos and Las Vegas was a special place for him.

He found great joy in coaching his sons’ little league teams and later watching as his sons took on the coaching role with enthusiasm. He was  dedicated to being present at all of his grandchildren’s games whenever possible. He valued moments spent with his family on vacations to different destinations or creating cherished memories together in Florida or the Ozarks. He always prioritized time spent with his loved ones.

His warm personality and kind demeanor touched the lives of those around him. He met his wife Vickie when she moved next door to him and within three months, they were married. His proudest accomplishment was raising a family with her which will continue to flourish for generations to come.

Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife; sons, Jason Pierce and wife Dori, and Clayton Pierce and wife Jolee; granddaughter, Joslyn Varela and husband Alex; grandsons, Gavin Pierce and Carson Pierce; and brother, Hershel Pierce.
