Graveside services for E. O. Gaston, 76, were held on February 6, 2024, at Emory City Cemetery, with Jimmy Jarrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kinne Gaston, Kyle Gaston, David Gaston, Randy Wright, Jackie Staley and Jason Rabe.
Mr. Gaston died on February 3, 2024. He was born on August 19, 1947, in Jayton, to Oscar Gaston and Mildred (Springer) Gaston.
Mr. Gaston pursued various careers. He excelled in construction work and spent time behind the wheel as a truck driver. His true calling lay with his deep connection to the cowboy way of life and his skill with cows. He had a larger-than-life personality that drew people towards him. He would drop everything he was doing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The pleasure of engaging in lively conversations brought joy to his heart and formed countless friendships.
He is survived by his son, Kirk Gaston and wife Donna; daughter, Paula Luzetti; mother, Mildred Gaston; brother, Kinne Lee Gaston; granddaughter, Bo Devereaux; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad; brother, Dwayne Gaston; and sister-in-law, Beverly Gaston.
