A memorial service for Terry Manuel Mattson, 62, of Emory, was held on October 3 at Shannon Oaks Church of Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Mattson died on September 28, 2020. He was born on April 8, 1958, in Menominee, Michigan, to Richard and Carol Gracyalny Mattson. He worked in the aerospace industry, including over 25 years at Boeing. He was a God-loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He loved fishing, the Dallas Stars, woodworking and, most of all, quality family time.
Mr. Mattson is survived by his wife, Becky Hardy Mattson of 41 years; son, Daniel and wife Kim; daughter, Jessica and husband Jeff; mother, Carol and husband George; stepmother, Kathy; brother and friend, Rick and wife Cindy, sisters, Laura and husband Dave, Tammy and husband Paul, and Dawn; brother, Tim; grandchildren, Cameron, Jack, Tyler, Michael and Jeffrey; and godchildren, Chris and Kirsten.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Timmy; and grandparents, Manuel and Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center in Sulphur Springs.
