Funeral services for Ronald Charles Murley, 78, were held on September 26 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory. Interment followed in Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham.
Mr. Murley died on September 22, 2023, at his home in Emory. He was born on April 11, 1945, in Dallas.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in the construction industry for 50 years and enjoyed country music, dancing and gardening. He enjoyed working in his pecan orchard, shaping the landscape and reaping the rewards of his labor.
He relocated to Emory in 1975 allowing him to establish deep roots within the community and forge lifelong friendships.
Mr. Murley is survived by his wife and best friend, Marie Sanchez; sons, Dusty Murley and Jason Werneking; grandchildren, Millie Sue Murley and Miles Jones Murley; brother, Ralph Sanchez; and good friend, Carolyn Pichard.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
