Funeral services for Robert Parrish, 88, of Emory, were held on January 14, at Emory church of Christ. Cody McCody and Chad Parrish officiated. Interment followed at Turner Cemetery.
Mr. Parrish died on January 11, 2023. He was born on November 23, 1934, to Willie and Hazel Parrish in Emory. He married Margaret Parrish on January 23, 1959, and they cherished 62 years together. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and was a long time member of the Emory church of Christ.
Mr. Parrish is survived by his son, Chuck Nolan Parrish and wife Wanda; brother, Ted Parrish; grandson, Chad Parrish and wife Leanne; granddaughters, Michelle Tate and husband Lance, Jennifer Roberts and husband Dale, Kristen Harley and husband Tommy, and Ashlynn Dipzinski and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Dustin Roberts, Sara Roberts, Cameron Roberts, Aiden Dipzinski, Miller Dipzinski, Landon Harley, Trevor Harley, Case Parrish, Cole Parrish and Bennett Tate.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Deborah Douthit; his parents; and sister, Mary Shepard.
