A graveside service for Ricky Wayne Medders, 63, was held on June 28, 2023, at Clifton Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Brandon Medders, Jeremy Medders, Dustin Medders, Ryan Medders, Randy Warren, David Warren and Kyle Rivers.
Mr. Medders died on June 26, 2023, at his residence in Point. He was born on July 11, 1959, to Billy James Medders and Helen Medders Stevens.
He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the National Guard and loved to hunt, fish, ride horses and watch football. He was a bull rider in his younger days.
Mr. Medders is survived by his mother; children, Brooke Miller, and Cheryl Meuth and husband Logan, all of Lexington, Texas; brother, Ronnie Medders and wife Jean Ann of Point; grandchildren, Cole Miller, Ryder Darby and Stetson Meuth; nephews, Jeremy Medders and wife Jennifer of Emory, Brandon Medders and wife Bekah of Point; great-nephews, Dustin Medders and Mox Medders; great-nieces, Bristol and Brynnli Medders of Point; uncles and aunts, James and Vivian Warren, Aaron and Sandy Rivers, all of Point, Sue Medders of Emory, June Patterson of Mt. Pleasant, Jo Ann Prather of Kilgore and Altie Chestley of Sulphur Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, RW and Georgia Faye Warren and Walter and Lois Medders; uncles, Bobby Medders, Buddy Patterson, Zane Prather, Bill Chestley, and Aussie and Joy Terry.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
