Richard Campbell

1952 – 2024

Funeral services for Richard Campbell, 71, were held on February 17, at Pilgrims Rest #1, officiated by Pastors Keith Brister and David Hendricks. Interment followed in Hooker Ridge Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Johnson, Scott McLeroy, Larry Parker, James Scully, Cesar Segura and Mike Hoffmeyer. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Adams and Ronnie Turney.

Mr. Campbell died on February 13, 2024. He was born on July 2, 1952, in Dallas, to Eli Melvin Campbell and Virginia Lamb. He graduated from Samuel High School in 1970. He married Pam Franklin on March 2, 1991, in Point.

Mr. Campbell was a product sales manager at Hensley Attachments and traveled extensively. He was a Christian, and served as a deacon at his church in Duncanville for many years. He moved to Point in 2020, built a home, and joined Pilgrim’s Rest #1 Baptist Church in Emory. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working out in his shop, listening to music, fishing, building things and being outdoors. 

He is survived by his wife of almost 33 years; daughter, Amanda Campbell; son, Andrew Perry and wife Lauren of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Wyatt Jason Campbell, Parker Lee Campbell, Jordan Carter Perry and Brooke Olivia Perry; brother, Tom Campbell and wife Cathy of Desoto, Missouri; brother-in-law, Donald Hall and wife Sandra of Waxahachie; mother-in-law, Linda Jacks Franklin of Point; and numerous relatives and friends.
