An inurnment service for Natalia Cardoza Doelves, 84, of Emory, will be held on Friday, July 24, at 3:00 p.m., at Dallas – Forth Worth National Cemetery.
Mrs. Doelves died on July 8, 2026, at her home in Rains County. She was born on August 26, 1941, to Jesus and Luce Cardoza.
She was one of fourteen siblings and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, fierce advocacy and ability to see the inherent worth in every person she met. Her profound empathy and patience guided her to a career in social work, and she later became an ESL teacher at Rains Independent School District. She did much more than teach vocabulary and grammar. She was a guide, a confidant and an unshakeable source of encouragement.
She is survived by her beloved children, Lydia Hamm, Leticia (Tish) Mackey, Elia Murphy, John Clark, Jr. and Natalie (Chiquita) Renfroe; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wolfgang Doelves; and many family members.
