May sales tax allocations up, bucking shutdown fears

The tax allocation from local sales in March are being returned to taxing entities by the office of Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar in May and the data shows an increase over the previous year for Rains County and the local municipalities even as the state and country began implementing stay-at-home orders.
