Mary Aliene Barrett Bloodsworth

1932 – 2021

A private family burial for Mary Aliene Barrett Bloodsworth, 88, will be held at Pippin-Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Bloodsworth died on June 14, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Greenville. She was born on October 2, 1932, in Hopkins County to Otis and Lille Barrett. She was one of six children and the family lived in Rains County. She married Truman Lee Bloodsworth on November 10, 1950. They had three children.

She lived her life as a devoted wife, mother and Memaw. She worked primarily in the banking industry, and prior to retiring, she worked as a bus monitor, where she was able to show her love for kids daily.

Mrs. Bloodsworth is survived by her sister, Linnell Woods; son, Johnny; daughter, Sharon Boothe; grandchildren, Mark, Justin, John, Matthew and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Logan Truman, Lilu, Milla, Logan, Kaden, Addison, Olivia and Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Roy, Keith and J.B.; sister, Viola; and daughter, Karan.
