L.J. “Pat” Patterson

1942 – 2022

Funeral services for L.J. “Pat” Patterson, 80, of Emory, were held on April 26, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Robert Burns officiated. Interment will take place at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.

Mr. Patterson died on April 23, 2022, at Clements Hospital in Dallas. He was born on January 6, 1942, in Sulphur Springs, to Clifford and Willie Mae Patterson. He was a longtime resident of Frisco, and retired from Arrow Industries. He was a disabled Army veteran. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and working in his garden. His pride and joy were his grandkids and growing lemon trees. In his spare time, he loved to read and watch western movies.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna; daughters, Carol Cernosek and husband Bill, and Christi Pennington and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Will Cernosek and wife Rafaella, Jason Patterson and wife Chanel, Austin Cernosek, Alexandria Cernosek, Charles Glidden, Cole Pennington and Ty Pennington; brothers, Richard Patterson and wife Patsy, and Ronald Patterson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and longtime friends, Carlos and Yolanda Liscano.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Oneta Stone and brother-in-law Tal, and Jimmie Roden; and brothers, Clifford Patterson, Jr., Robert Patterson and Kenneth Patterson.
