Funeral services for June Rose Sherwood Jenkins, 86, of Alba, are scheduled for Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba. Interment will follow in Old Salem Cemetery, Alba. Pallbearers will be Neal Russom, Rickie Peebles, Russell Voyles, Sherwood Harrell, Gary Johnstone and Danny Butler.
Mrs. Jenkins died on September 3, 2022, at her residence in Alba. She was born on June 16, 1936, in Alba, to Joseph Everett and Rosie Lee Dunavint Sherwood. She lived all her life in the Alba area and was a member of the Alba Church of Christ. She was very involved with her family and made great efforts to attend all of their activities.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her son, Timothy Jenkins of Yantis; two daughters, Kim Butler and husband David, and Kelly McCarthy and husband Terry, all of Alba; sister, Lee Nell Harrell of Lindale; seven grandchildren, Erin Owens, T.J. Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Misti Hawthorn and husband Devon, Melani Robbins and husband Brian, Terry McCarthy and wife Anna, and Kevin McCarthy and Trisha; nine great-grandchildren, Avery, Ainsley, Chrissy-Don, Grayson, Cason, Kale, Kolson, Rhett and Kaleb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; four sisters; and daughter-in-law, Paula Jenkins.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
