Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Hampton, 43, of Point, were held on September 17, 2023, at Clarks Chapel Church of God. Interment followed in Lone Star Cemetery.
Mr. Hampton died on September 12, 2023. He was born on May 22, 1980 in Dallas.
Mr. Hampton worked in the oil industry for 19 years and was a drilling supervisor for Conoco Phillips. Prior to working in the oil industry he served as a police officer. He also served in the US Navy on the USS Constellation in Coronado, California
He enjoyed traveling and vacationing exploring different places and cultures. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Mr. Hampton is survived by his wife, Paige Hampton of 22 years; children, Drake, Brenden, Ashlyn and Tatum; parents, Shawn and Donna Shull, Rickey and Gina Dodson, and Paul and Diane Mason; siblings, Stacey Hampton, John Hampton and Brooke Dodson; best friend, Dewey Deville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
